A Conversation on Architecture

LAWLs brought to you by South is South:

One of the unintended consequences of evoking your observations on the sensory experiences of life on Twitter is that on occasion, the universe hollers back. Contrary to the manicured images one will find on Google Images, the Four Seasons in Cairo is one of the few buildings in the Arab world outside of the United Arab Emirates that incarnates the spitting image of a soulless corporatized wall. Standing beneath its gargantuan shadow, a shudder prickles one’s skin and a shiver of emotion (what to call that—fear? dread?) runs down one’s spine.
